Blanc de Noir

We take a lot of pride in our wine, and because of that we are constantly learning new ways to produce high quality wine.  With this latest vintage we borrowed a technique from Champagne, France.  This uses red grapes and processes them to produce a white wine.   A unique climatic condition is required that prevents red pigmentation of the white flesh of the grape berry.   This does not happen every year. The grapes must be fermented without the skins. The result is a wine which is dry and medium to full bodied bodied with a smooth mouth feel and a steely acitity.    This wine is extremely food friendly,.  We are recommending you serve it at room temperature.  It should appeal to both white and red wine lovers. We will be releasing this wine today, to our customers.  We invite you to come in for a tasting of it during our business hours.

Duet Reserve Wine Notes:  Cabernet Franc 2016, Zweigelt 2016  – Erie Shore Vineyard- Harrow, ON  Retail:  $21.95 Winemaker – Harvey Hollingshead  Serve at 18 C  (65  F) Cabernet Franc provides the cherry flavor and structure you expect to find in a full bodied red, while Zweigelt adds just enough spice to separate it from the rest.  Add vanilla derived from French Oak and you have a complex wine that is sure to liven your evening.   It will match great with red meats, and the spice go well with pizza.  If you are having anything savory, this is your go to wine.
